Eileen Curtis recently retired after serving as the Dulles Chamber of Commerce President and CEO for 23 years. In her book Chamber Tales: A Memoir of Commerce, Community and Stunning forces of Change she provides her personal telling of the leaders with whom she worked.
Curtis is one of the longest-serving chamber execs in the country and her book chronicles the heady growth of Northern Virginia. The new businesses that caused this growth, the interplay of local history, business and people are all described in her book.
During her years as President of the Dulles Regional Chamber, Curtis was named Virginia’s Chamber Executive of the Year and her book has already inspired comments from Governor McAuliffe, DC Board of Trade President Jim Dinegar, and Dr. Gerald Gordon, President of Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.
The author is dedicating a portion of her book to the Fairfax County Public Schools’ STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) scholarships for needy and deserving graduating high school seniors.
Copies of the book will be available for sale on January 6th.
