8th Annual Herndon Town Calendar Photography Competition & Exhibit
On exhibit Tuesday, July 17th through Saturday, August 11th
Awards Reception Sunday, July 29th, 7-9 pm
This exhibit features finalists in the 8th Annual Herndon Town Calendar Competition.
Each year in December, more than 10,000 calendars are printed and distributed to all citizens and businesses throughout the town. Professional and amateur photographers of high school age or older were invited to submit entries to the competition. Subjects for the entries are located within the corporate limits of the Town of Herndon. Special consideration is given to entries depicting people participating in seasonal or community events.
Jurors evaluated images submitted to the competition by photographers and select finalist photographs for the exhibit. The jurors will also select 12 of the photographs for the 2019 Herndon Town Calendar. Visitors to the gallery can vote for the People’s Choice during the exhibit. The 12 winning photographs and People’s Choice will be announced during the Awards Reception on July 29th.
